Comprehensive Plan

The City is working with the Sanford community to update our Comprehensive Plan. This plan provides long-range planning and policy direction for the next 20 years for Sanford. It guides City decisions about land use planning and major investments such as parks, utilities, sidewalks, and other amenities. The content of the Plan is informed by residents through several community engagement opportunities, including ongoing online engagement on this website.

The Plan is carefully guided by the steering committee, which is composed of Sanford residents and Sanford board representatives who meet regularly to discuss the Plan.
