Breezeline Comments

The City of Sanford will be initiating the formal process for the pending Breezeline Franchise Agreement Renewal. As part of this initiative, the Sanford City Council will host a Public Hearing on April 30, 2024, inviting residents to share their experiences and perspectives regarding Breezeline services.

Residents who are unable to attend the Public Hearing in person or via Zoom are encouraged to leave their comments and feedback online. For those unable to attend, please submit your Breezeline comments below. All comments received will be considered during the renewal deliberations.

We use Breezeline in our office for phones and internet. Are happy with the cost and service. I believe all residents and businesses should have a choice if they want breezeline or xfinity or fiber. To not renew the franchise takes away options. We stayed with breezeline because overall for our business the cost was lower than the SanfordNet Fiber.

Their hardware is garbage. I pay a boatload for the best service and the modem they gave me isn't appropriate for the speed I pay for. You're better off buying your own Wireless modem/router instead of paying them monthly to rent bad equipment. If you renew your contract you need to ensure they are required to provide adequate equipment for the plans they offer.

Works just fine for our plan. It is the lowest costing internet. Works well for our household. In the four plus years having them there has only been outages due to weather and even with that it wasn't too long before it was back on. Some of the lower income families rely on this company to stay connected. We do

I've used Breezeline for years (Atlantic Broadband, Metrocast) and have no problem with it. I think it's important to keep them even if it's just for the sake of competition among the cable companies.

Good afternoon,
I have had Breezeline for a couple of years. I was with MetroCast which then went to Atlantic, which then went to Breezeline. The service is fine. I don’t notice many interruptions but the price is ridiculous. As a customer for all these years and somebody who is out of work with breast cancer, I tried to get any deals that they were offering because as a new subscriber you can get service for $19 a month for 2 years but I was paying $99 a month. I wasn’t asking for any huge discount just asking for something to help with my circumstances and they didn't help. Their customer service was not very friendly as well. I’m looking into other services and would love if another company came into town with better prices. My problem is that I live in Springvale and most companies do not have service where I live.

Breezeline has many issues with stability. There are many times in just a month that internet (which now runs streaming boxs) will intermittently just go out or will make the streaming box sit and buffer. Not exactly what I want for what I pay. I also even use the internet pods from breezeline to make everything sync , but does not always keep up.
Since the change in ownership there is even a big difference in storms, cause meterocast then atlantic broadband would drop off generators off at almost all routers which are needed to keep network running in power outages. This no longer happens and we are completely out during outages.
Most of the equipment and lines on pole are outdated and will make things worse as time goes on.
I would not renew the contract!!

Our house utilizes Breezline's fastest internet for our area. While their wait times are high, we have only had an outage 3 times this year due to circumstances out of their control. Otherwise, speed has been consistent and we are able to game, stream movies, stream music, and complete office work at the same time without lag in speed for a household of seven. I cannot speak to the price point compared with other services, but we rent their equipment and only pay 100 per month. This is similar to where we lived before when my husband was active duty. They recently helped my mother in South Sanford lower her bill, and her coverage has been better compared to the lines when they were owned by Metrocast. I would like to see our City continue to offer this company, as other local options are roughly as consistent and other non- local options have had complaints too, i.e. Spectrum in coastal towns like Wells. We plan to continue with Breezline as long as the service is available.
